Monsoon outflow comes off the Phoenix Mountains Preserve and North Mountain fast, and the pine and eucalyptus in Moon Valley are the trees that drop limbs first. If you are in an HOA community like Desert Ridge or Tatum Ranch, the front yard trees are usually your responsibility and the HOA notices when they look rough. A yearly thinning keeps both the HOA and the wind happy.
